Magnetic field emissions in electric cars were measured under realistic operating conditions.
The results of these systematic measurements showed that the basic exposure limits recommended by the ICNIRP were complied with within the body in all vehicles examined.
However, the differences in the measurable peak magnetic field values between the vehicle models suggest that there is still potential to reduce these peak exposure levels if the issue of “magnetic field exposure of vehicle occupants” is taken into account at an early stage of vehicle design.
