Status of compliance with the requirements
This website is not fully accessible in accordance with the requirements of Directive (EU) 2016/2102 on the accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies, due to the following exceptions.
Content that is not accessible
The following content is not accessible for the reasons set out below:
Success Criterion: 1.1.1 Non-text Content:
Some images, icons or graphical links lack meaningful alternative text or link descriptions.
Success Criterion 1.3.1 Information and Relationships:
Some pages contain empty heading elements in the source code. These have no visible text content but are read out by screen readers. This causes confusion when using assistive technologies and impairs navigation for people with visual impairments.
Success Criterion 1.4.3 Contrast (Minimum):
Some text – such as body text, labels or explanatory text – has insufficient colour contrast against the background. As a result, this content is difficult or impossible to read for people with low vision.
Success Criterion 1.4.11 Non-text contrast:
Some control elements, such as buttons, form fields or icons, do not stand out sufficiently from the background in terms of colour. This makes these elements difficult to recognise for people with low vision and limits the usability of the page.
Measures to improve accessibility
Planned measures include:
Accessible labelling of icons and images:
Icons, images and other graphical user interface elements will be provided with meaningful, programme-readable alternative text or link descriptions.
Empty heading elements will be removed:
Empty heading elements will be identified in the source code and either removed or filled with meaningful text content. This ensures that screen readers only read out relevant content and that navigation for people with visual impairments is not compromised.
Adjusting contrast ratios:
All affected text elements are checked and colour contrasts are adjusted in accordance with WCAG requirements. The aim is to achieve a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text, to ensure sufficient readability for all users.
The relevant control elements, such as buttons, form fields and icons, are checked and their colour scheme adjusted to achieve a contrast ratio of at least 3:1 against the background. This improves the visual recognisability and usability of the page for people with impaired vision.
