Anti-doping testing is essential for fair and clean sport. The analyses are based on state-of-the-art technology and the expertise of dedicated specialists.
Our laboratory manager, Günter Gmeiner, provided fascinating insights on site into the work of the laboratory, which was founded in 1999 and has been accredited by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) since 2004.
In addition to numerous national anti-doping organisations from Central and Eastern Europe, major international sports federations, such as UEFA, also have their doping samples analysed in Seibersdorf.
With more than 25,000 samples analysed annually, the doping control laboratory in Seibersdorf ranks among the three largest of the 30 WADA-accredited doping control laboratories currently operating worldwide.
