EPCARD.Net

EPCARD.Net is a PC application developed by the Helmholtz Zentrum München for calculating the cosmic radiation doses received by persons along any flight route at altitudes between 5,000 m and 25,000 m, both in the form of the ambient dose equivalent and the effective dose.
EPCARD stands for “European Program Package for the Calculation of Aviation Route Doses”.

EPCARD.Net application

EPCARD.Net is available as a "stand-alone" and Internet "off-line" application and can be easily implemented on your company computers. Basically, EPCARD.Net is designed for the Microsoft® .NET (for Windows OS) or Mono-project® (for "Linux-like" OS) frameworks. EPCARD.Net Version 5.4.3 fulfills the requirements of EC Directive 2013/59/Euratom and its implementation into national law in the states of the European Community, and has been approved by the German Federal Aviation Office (LBA) for official dose calculation for flying personnel. EC Directive 2013/59/Euratom refers to ICRP Publication 103, which introduced a new methodology for dose calculation based on the latest scientific knowledge of radiation risks and operational experience.
