From 13.-17.9.2021 the international conference RADECS 2021 took place in Vienna, organized as a hybrid event by our Expert Group „Radiation Hardness & Space Weather“.
The RADECS Conference is the annual European scientific and industrial forum on radiation and its effects on electronics and photonic materials, devices, circuits, sensors and systems.
The conference was “Committed to Safety and Sustainability in Space”, with a view to future space missions and applications, and the use of space for the entire global community.
More than 170 international guests were on-site in Vienna and happy to meet again „in real life“.
About 200 online guests from all over the world had the possibility to join discussions via different online tools.
Part of the week’s program were a short course, a poster session and a technical exhibition with 25 international exhibitors.
Highlight was the Gala Dinner in the Orangerie of Schloss Schönbrunn, including music and „Imperial Highnesses Sissi & Franzl“.
