Seibersdorf Laboratories – jointly with the Austrian Armed Forces CBRN Defence Centre – is launching a new series of live agent training courses, based on NATO standards and addressing the NATO audience. The content thereof and the training courses themselves are NATO/PfP/EU unclassified and thus open to participation from non-NATO members as well.
However, the first of these training courses (Radiological Incident Investigation and Exploitation) is focused on NATO requirements, specifically addressing CBRN MERT (Multirole Exploitation and Reconnaissance Team) Team Leaders or SIBCRA (Sampling and Identification of Biological, Chemical and Radiological Agents) Team Leaders, but is also open to other functions (Minimum Standard of Proficiency: CBRN specialist according to ATP-3.8.1 Vol. III).
All courses are heavily based on an unfolding storyline of realistic scenarios, emulating realistic operational conditions as much as possible.
