Scientific Investigations of Electromagnetic Field Effects

Results of scientific studies repeatedly point to possible links between electromagnetic fields and various disease patterns, raising further questions. Together with national and international partners from the fields of medicine and biology, we have been actively researching the possible effects of electromagnetic fields on humans for more than 25 years.

Development of Exposure Systems for Biological Experiments

The investigation of the mechanisms of action and effects of electromagnetic fields on biosystems requires experimental studies on cells, animals, or volunteers. To ensure well-defined and reproducible exposure conditions within these studies, high-quality exposure systems and their precise dosimetric characterization are of central importance.

We have more than 25 years of experience in the development and dosimetric characterization of exposure systems and as a reliable partner for all technical aspects of scientific studies regarding possible effects of electromagnetic fields on health.

The exposure systems we develop are individually adapted to the respective study design and are designed, built and optimized using state-of-the-art measurement methods and computer simulation platforms.

High-Resolution Organ-Specific Absorption and Temperature Calculations

For special questions regarding absorption ratios and associated tissue temperature increases in particularly fine-structured organs or in those for which there are currently no corresponding computer models, appropriate models are developed, and absorption and temperature calculations are performed.

Measurement of Dielectric Tissue Properties

The dielectric properties of body tissues are essential inputs for both experimental and numerical determination of induced body currents and specific absorption rate (SAR).
We have many years of experience in the field of metrological determination of the dielectric properties of body tissue in the frequency range up to 20 GHz.
