When the Site VSWR testing time has to be as short as possible the new SPA1 (automatic Site VSWR Positioner) is the tool of choice. The test points for each measurement location are adjusted automatically with our CalStan 10.0 Site VSWR measurement plugin. Only polarisation and test volume location have to be changed manually. This reduces the manual setup modifications by up to 84%.

The correct mounting of the antennas is crucial for the validation test. The positioning on site must be done in the same orientation as the patterns have been calibrated, thereby avoiding any unwanted coupling between antenna and stand. As classical antenna masts and tripods have proven inappropriate for this task Seibersdorf Laboratories developed the Site VSWR Positioners.
