Telescopic Extension

Telescopic rod extendible to overall length of up to 3 m, for use with alpha-beta-gamma probe or external gamma probe

Telescopic Probe

The telescopic probe has been developed to simplify measurement of radioactive contamination of large objects such as trucks, trains or buildings. Attachable wheels facilitate measurement under vehicles.

The probe can be pushed under the vehicle using these wheels. The length of the telescope is continuously adjustable up to a length of 3 m and protects the operator from excessive radioactive radiation by increasing the distance from the radiation source.

Locating sources is greatly simplified by use of the telescope and the contamination probe. During the detection process, the distance from a radiation source can vary by up to 6 m when the body turns 180°. Due to the inverse square law, this results in a significant difference in the reading.

To carry out the measurement, the telescopic probe is connected to the radiation measuring instrument ASMG-90 and the contamination probe is mounted on the front end of the telescope. A cap protects the contamination probe from water, dirt and mechanical damage.

The telescope is manufactured from fiber glass. Fiber glass is electrically insulating and protects the operator in the event of contact with electrical circuits. Due to its light weight, the telescope is very easy to handle. It is hung over the shoulder with a carrying belt and can be operated with one hand. Fiber glass is a high-strength material and guarantees a long service life even when the telescope is used in a heavy-duty environment.
